It is an excellent investment to travel with your library.
Easy to use, easy to read and “audio-book” switch is a sweet surprise.

The only setback is that after every purchase, you have to start over your search from the beginning.

Oh Boy! I am so happy that I trust the opinion of Amazon reviewers and this product has such great reviews that I purchased one when I needed a new shedding tool. I have a short hair dog that had an unusually heavy shedding season. After daily brushing with another brush, I was extremely pleased once I started using the Furminator. This item removed two to three times the dead hair that would have been dropped in the house had I not used the Furminator. After two weeks of use, the discolored winter coat was gone and her jet black coat was shiny again. Check the Furminator website to ensure that your type of dog is recommended for Furminator use.

I can’t believe people are still shelling out big bucks for HDMI cables in the stores. I’ve bought several of these cheapies and they work every bit as well.

I was given one of these blenders and have been REALLY unimpressed. The “stick” attachment won’t stay in the handle part, so I have to hold it there to use it (like a previous reviewer pointed out… you have to hold down the power button, so that means I need two hands to operate the blender). The “mini chopper,” like a previous reviewer pointed out, doesn’t hold much at all and I haven’t found it very effective – I have to keep opening it up and shifting around the contents to get consistent chopping or mixing. I’ve had the darn thing for 3 years and I’m finally upgrading – I’m just sorry I ever owned the thing in the first place!

My nephew was performing poorly in the fifth grade last year and I promised him that if he would get motivated and pull his grades up, I would buy him an Apple iPod. The motivation worked and he got the iPod in time to accustom himself to its many applications before school began this year. The serendipital finding was worth the purchase: He kept bringing up the piano keys and suddenly began asking if he could take piano lessons. It was the answer to his mother’s dream, and now he is in regular piano classes and loving them. Thanks Apple!

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

If you like fantasy, you would love Artemis Fowl because it takes
place in Dublin, Ireland and has to do with breaking the barrier
between faeries and humans. Instead of faeries being the average
old fashioned kind, faeries live underground after we won the
“Eternal War”. The LEP(lower elements police) actually are
hundreds of years ahead of us and have evolved into a high tech
civilization. Artemis Fowl captures an LEP officer named Holly
Short with help from his bodyguard, Butler. Then the LEP try to get
Holly back. Artemis’s intention is to not hurt Holly but to trade
her for gold. The LEP decides to kill Artemis in many ways. Read
to see if Artemis survives!

I recommend this book to solo readers from eight to eighty. This book is
about a battle between faeries and humans but no one dies or gets hurt.
Artemis Fowl is on audio books, hardback and paperback. The best
feature is you have a code to crack on the bottom that is related to the
code in the book. This is the first in a fantasy series and you should
read Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident next.

Conversations with God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Book 1)
I found this book interesting. Contrary to the teachings of The Holy Bible, the author claims that satan is a “myth,” that Jesus was only a great person (no mention of “Savior”), and seemed to imply that the “things written down 2000 years ago” are open to debate. My questions is this: If all these things written 2000 years ago about God and Jesus were true, WHY would God, in “speaking with Mr. Neale Donald Walsch (as he claims)”, suddenly reverse his previous statements about satan, the validity of the Bible, and the absolute sovereignty of Christ?
I am a skeptic, and I like to think I have an open mind. This book was recommended to me by a colleague. However, I could not help but thinking that Mr. Walsch definitely has a “profit motive” in his writings. “If the item sells, continue to write.” Never mind it may be misinformation. Mr. Walsh, I hope you get this “God thing” right- your eternity may depend on it.
Please reference “Evidence that Demands a Verdict,” by Josh McDowell. A professed athiest that became a Christian because of his research. Go figure.

So many reviews have already been written about this wonderful novel, so I’ll just say that I enjoyed it very much. In fact, it is one of the best novels that I’ve read in the last 5 years. The construction of the novel is clever, the characters are well-drawn, and the plot is very compelling. Gruen made two wise decisions in structuring the story: a) starting with the big event that the rest of the story retroactively leads up to, and b) having Jacob Jankowski narrate the story long after the events as an old man in a nursing home. These choices give the story extra tension, poignancy, and depth; they’re the novelistic equivalent of adding 3D to a movie. Gruen obviously did extensive research to capture what it was like to work and live in a depression era travelling circus.

I was not quite sure if this would be stable enough for the 5″ Nuvi 1490. According to the Garmin website, this friction mount was supposed to used with the 1490. But if you ever bought something online and was recommended even by the manufacture, then you know things can go wrong. Not with this mount. Even though the screen is 5″ the friction mount does not want to tip or become unstable sitting on the dash. So, no worries for all of you out there that question if you use it on the larger screens, will my GPS become a bobble head? Fear not! Good and stable. Great OEM product and like all Amazon items for sale, a great price!
Ben 10 Thank You

i totally don’t understand why so many people loved this book. i earnestly tried to read it the whole way through but couldn’t. the main character is completely unbelievable, and the dialogue is terrible (i find it hard to believe people spoke that way in the year this novel took place). the prose in this book had zero imagination. when i read books like this, i feel like the author is more interested in finishing than developing the work.

the litany of things i hated about this book would take all day to write. i suppose if you were ever interested in read this tripe, go for it, as it seems like tons of people loved it. i hated Water for Elephants, however.
