I recently had some flashbacks of some frightening scenes from films i had seen when i was only about 5 or 6. Things would scare me enough to the point i would block out the entire experience. I remembered the old hag witch scene with the apple and the giant green face mirror which I later found out was played by the same guy…Charles Hall is his name. Anne Francine and him steal the show, but Mary Jo Salerno and Browne truly made it special. At age 5 or 6 that witch part was a little too much especially when the crazy Anne Francine kept getting crazier and crazier with her eyes and her speech. there are only two other movies that had the same affect on me and they were alot easier to find. “Return to Oz” was very creepy and depressing for a child…and “The Watcher in the Woods” was totally off the hook. Keep in mind all three of these are Disney so that’s how young mind’s became exposed to such material. I feel very lucky to have been a child growing up in the early to mid 80’s when Disney was experimenting. and experiment they did! i believe they got into some trouble back then for going that odd direction with their films…but all of those frightening and joyful memories have gone into my creativity and imagination today. I’m a musician and i’m deeply influenced by those days in my childhood.

Disney Buzz Lightyear Tee

The Furmenator works as advertised. We use it daily on my Collie Dog and we end up with a lot less fur laying around the house.

I’m delighted with the iPod but have real issues with how Amazon.com shipped it. Basically the unit was thrown in a big box. There was no bubble wrap around the unit; nor was it shrunk wrapped to a backing board; it was left free to bounce around in the box for the whole journey. Thankfully the Apple packaging protected it and so far it seems to work. But I doubt I’ll be ordering sensitive electronic devices from Amazon anytime soon.

Bike in a box. Bike arrived mostly assembled in a retail box. The bike had several deep scratches on Disney Girls Bike and the nuts and bolts needed to assemble the bike were tossed in the box loose. At first I thought this was a return, but every still seemed to have factory wrapping. Why they could not put all the nuts, washers and bolts in a bag is beyond me.

The parts that were not assembled were not the most simple of items (handle brake, seat, tires, etc.). The instructions were terrible. When it came to the seat, something I figured would not be too difficult, I had to guess as to which parts to use as the instructions were not clear. Being a pretty handy guy, I was getting frustrated as I can be a tad OCD when it comes to making sure things are assembled correctly. My Father-in-law came over and he could not make heads or tails of the instructions either. Now that both of us were stumped was exceptionally rare.

Having parts left over, I kept them as I was sure I would figure out where they went to. They went to nothing structural as I would not let my kids play on an unsafe toy, but the instructions gave no indication as to where they went. I finally did find when they went as I noticed the grip on the hand break had an spot for a tightening screw and nut.

Over all, the bike is very solid and my daughter loves it. It wasn’t too hard to assemble, but clearer instructions would have made it a snap. I do wish they had invested in better packaging so that the amount of scratches and the risk of parts falling out of the box in shipping would be reduced.

Kent Denali Road Bike. THE NEGATIVE: My bike was delivered with a defective wheel (an extra hole was drilled into the rim for a spoke). Kent replaced the wheel. The rim tape is too thin and narrow. One of the tires went flat as soon as I finished inflating it, because the rim tape did’t protect the tube from the inside of the rim. Kent also replaced the tube. The Shimano rear derailleur handger is bent, so that Disney Princess Girls Bike is impossible to properly adjust the index shifting. For an additional $10, Kent could have equipped the bike with the Shimano DX-30 Derailleur, which has an adjustment screw to compensate for a bent hanger. The brakes have inadequate stopping power. The brakes need to be upgraded.

THE POSITIVE: The bike is light in weight and fairly fast, due to the light weight frame and the 21 speed gear setup. I paid $139 for the bike and Amazon shipped it for free for signing up for their credit card. I am spending about $60 to upgrade the brakes and replace the rear derailleur. For about $200, I will have a reasonably priced entry level road bike.

Great product for handicapped sister!!. My handicapped sister loves this game. It helps her concentration level a great deal. Some more advanced children might not enjoy and become bored. In her case it’s been a great game.
